ST Steerable Series Design Features
360 Degree Swivel Plate
ST Models feature a round, 6.5 inch diameter, swivel plate mounted on top of a high-strength, high-quality thrust bearing. The round swivel plate can spin and turn in a full 360 degree rotation. The rotation capability enables the ST units to rotate and turn under the load giving the ST models their steering capability. When the equipment being moved, is pushed/pulled with the heavy duty handle, the ST unit’s steering capability allows the user excellent control of the load.
Heavy Duty Strut Design
ST Models are built for rugged, heavy duty, sustained use over many years. Consequently, individual thick steel struts are placed between each durable urethane roller so that each roller is sufficiently supported. This design feature prevents bending, warping or possibly total failure of the roller axles. The individual strut design is also helps each individual roller gang maintain a consistent direction of travel. Maintaining a consistent travel path increases the longevity of the durable urethane rollers.
Low Profile, Low Clearance Design
ST Models feature the same low profile design that is found across all Machine Skate Models manufactured and directly sold by TechimpexUSA™. The 4.25 inch height ensures that large pieces of equipment only have to be lifted a few inches above the floor surface in order for the ST units to be properly positioned under the load. It is this low profile design that makes the ST Models so effective for moving and steering heavy loads and equipment.
Rugged Tow Handle & Eye Hook
ST Models feature a tough, rugged Heavy Duty Handle & Eye Hook. This allows the ST Models to be directly connected to a forklift or some other power source for an efficient and successful equipment relocation. The solid steel pull handle that connects the reinforced handle to the eye hook also doubles as a user-friendly maneuvering device. The pull handle gives the user adequate leverage and control to position and place the units properly when executing an equipment relocation.
Mix & Match Capability
ST Models provide an excellent way to steer a heavy load being while being moved. The ST units can certainly be used independently as a stand-alone equipment mover under the right circumstances. However, the ST Models are usually paired with a set of the the tandem FT Fixed Models to make the complete SFT 3-Point System system. Additionally, there are many other configurations that can be created by mixing and matching the various models of Machinery Skates made by TechimpexUSA™. The wide mix and match capability is made possible because of the consistent 4.25 inch height across the entire product line. The RT Rotating Skates are an especially versatile combination option.
